#TrackNigeria: Gen. Jeremiah Useni (rtd), PDP governorship candidate in Plateau, has promised to turn around the fortunes of Plateau through responsive governance, if elected into power.

The PDP candidate made the pledge on Friday, during the party’s Central Senatorial  Zone campaign rally held at Nefur cultural arena, Pankshin.

“Plateau is desirous of a credible and committed leader that can turn it around and rescue it from its many troubles.

“I have offered myself and I am very ready to rescue Plateau and turn it around. We have lost our prestige and image as a home of peace and hospitality. Insecurity has cost us many precious lives. We cannot continue like this,” he said.

The retired military officer called on PDP members and supporters to obtain their PVCs and vote for the party in the forthcoming elections.

He also urged the people to defend their votes.

Also speaking, Chief Damishi Sango, PDP Chairman in Plateau, said that the party was worried that the people of Plateau were wallowing in hunger and poverty brought by the APC government.

“As Plateau people, we must be ready to take our destiny in our hands come Feb. 16 and March 2 election days,” he said. (NAN)
