A total of 109 completed projects will be inaugurated in May as part of activities to mark 7th anniversary of Gov. Abdulaziz Yari’s administration in Zamfara, an official said on Saturday in Gusau.
Alhaji Lawal Liman, Chairman of anniversary committee made the disclosure when he inspected some of the projects at the new Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Gusau.
“Most of the projects to be inaugurated are under health, roads and education sectors.
“We have various hospitals reconstructed and renovated, we have newly built and renovated schools. We have various roads projects, apart from electrification and water projects, all waiting for inauguration.
“As we have seen here, the state government executed some project in the brigade to complement the efforts of the Federal Government to improve the welfare of soldiers,’’ he said.
The the projects being executed at the brigade include the construction of a five kilometer road, 4.5 kilometer wide fence, electrification, drains and water supply.
“This is one of the state government’s contributions to support security agencies in the state to have conducive atmosphere to carry out their duties,’’ he added.
He urged contractors handling the various projects to adhere to quality and time for set for completion. (NAN)
