#TrackNigeria: Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has promised that he would run an all-inclusive government that would be participated by the 42 political parties that loyal to his new administration.
He said this at the Presidential Lodge Wednesday when members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), chairmen of 42 political parties as well as 32 governorship candidates of different political parties paid him courtesy visit.
“My colleagues on other political parties that contested with me, I assure you that we will work together. We shall run an all-inclusive government – government of unity,” he said.
According to Tambuwal, it was the will of God that he won in spite of the security agencies and operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) deployed to prevent the people of the state from carrying out their franchise.
“According to Section 176 of the Constitution, we won two-thirds of the local governments in the states. We also won by a simple majority, yet they tried to deny us of what God had destined,” he added.
Earlier, the chairman of IPAC in the state, Malam Ibrahim Mabera told Tambuwal that they had accepted the outcome of the election.
According to him, “We all know that the contest was not only between governor Tambuwal and the All Progressive Congress (APC) but also between 51 candidates of other political parties in the state. We therefore pay our loyalty to this administration for the development of Sokoto state.
The Secretary of the Governorship Candidates Forum, who was also the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Malami Abdulkadir said “winning an election is the will of God. Members of the forum have accepted the victory as declared by INEC.”
