The University of Benin has inaugurated three new ultra-modern hostels to ease the accommodation challenges experienced by the students.
Dr Benedicta Ehanire, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, in a statement on Friday, said that the hostels were sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund).
According to him, the hostels were state of the art structures that comprised a hostel for international students, as well as a male and female hostel.
Ehanire noted that the 34, 28, and 28-rooms in each hostel, were attracted to the University by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Salami.
“Prof. Salami had since assumption of office demonstrated her resolve to substantially improve on the infrastructure and academic needs of the school.
“The new hostels are expected to be occupied as from the next academic session,’’ Ehanire said. (NAN)
