The Leadership of the House of Representatives has postponed the resumption of the lower chambers.Rather than resume on Wednesday 3rd December, a statement by M.A. Sani-Omolori, Clerk, House Of Representatives said the “House will now resume on Tuesday 16th December, 2014 at 10am.”
Titled: “Notice Of Postponement Of Resumption From Recess Of The House Of Representatives” the statement said, “This is to notify Members of The House of Representatives that the resumption of the House from recess earlier scheduled for 3rd December 2014 has been postponed. The House will now resume on Tuesday 16th December, 2014 at 10am.
Explaining the elongation of the recess, the statement said, “The Leadership of the House of Representatives took note of the adjustment in the calendar of the political parties and took the decision for the postponement to allow Members of the House participate in the forthcoming Primaries of their political parties .”
