Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has appointed Malam Imam Dalhatu Imam as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs.
The appointment, being the first to be made by Tambuwal after been sworn in on Friday, was contained in a statement issued to Journalists in Sokoto.
Tambuwal admonished the Imam, who served Tambuwal in the same capacity when he was Speaker of House of Representatives from 2011, to dedicate himself to the new assignment by contributing to the flow of information management.
A former Politics Editor at Thisday Newspapers, Imam who hails from Taraba state, was born on July 16, 1977 in Gboko, Benue State.
The statement added that Imam, a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and a Graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communications from Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna and Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies from Bayero University, Kano.
