Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has approved the appointment a new medical director for the University Teaching Hospital,Aba. He is Prof. Nwachukwu Israel Kanu.
The appointment which was announced through a statement signed by Charles Ajunwa ,chief press secretary to the governor also announced the appointment of Dr. Uwadilachi Iweha as the Chief Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
According to Ajunwa “ His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Abia State, Chief T.A. Orji, has approved the appointment of Prof. Nwachukwu Israel Kanu as the new Medical Director of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Aba.
“The Governor has also approved the appointment of Dr. Uwadilachi Iweha as the Chief Medical Director of the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
The governor also approved the of constitution of a new Board for the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
Those appointed into the new board of Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia include Prof. A.U.Mbanaso Chairman; Engr. Rich Onyeaso – Member;Dr. Abali Chukwu – Member;Mr. Ifeanyi Agbai – Member and Charles Okwudili- Member
According to the statement released at the weekend “the new Board will be sworn-in in due course.”
