The Federal Government has lifted the suspension on Dana Airlines’ operating licence.Reports said this was announced by a statement from the aviation ministry today.Reuters reports Joe Obi, spokesman for the aviation ministry as having said “The federal government has lifted the suspension of the Operating Licence of Dana Airlines.”
Obi added that”This follows government’s satisfaction with the air-worthiness of the airline after a rigorous technical, operational and financial audit.”
This announcement means that the airlines can begin flights across the country once again.
But the move seems to have taken Nigerians -who are unhappy that no satisfactory explanations have been given for the June crash-by surprise. Some have resorted to the social media like BB messenger and others to urge Nigerians whether they would prefer to fly Dana anymore.It is some furious negative campaign against the airline by Nigerians who seem to be expressing their anger over the announcement.
“Pls avoid dana air pls patronize young shall grow its beta getting late than a sad story.The 9ja govt (has) lifted their suspension.Crazy pple” said one of the postings on BBM today following the announcement.
Dana air on a flight from Abuja to Lagos crashed on a Lagos suburb killing the passengers and some unlucky residents of the area.
