A group, the National Youth Movement for Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigeria youth to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP candidate in the 2019 Presidential elections.
Beauty Yahawah, spokesperson, National Youth Movement for Atiku Abubakar, who made this call in a statement Thursday said: “Nigerians deserve to thrive. The average Nigerian should be able to say, “My life is better under this government.” H.E Atiku Abubakar is here to turn the nation to a better path: he is not only the most qualified to do so (given his record of achievements), but he has also served in the presidency as Vice President from 1999-2007. This is an added bonus as this means that nothing will take him by surprise, and we will definitely begin to see positive change immediately he takes office. He already has inside knowledge of how the office of President works, he knows all that the position entails, and so we will not get any excuses under his government like we get from this current one. However you are doing in life, you will be doing much better under a government led by Atiku Abubakar.
Yahawah added: “Atiku is the only one who has what it takes to get this nation out of the economic turmoil, insecurity, lack of vision, and decline in all areas which we are currently facing. It is clear that we need him at this time to get Nigeria back on the right track, as the country has deteriorated especially under the incumbent government. Facts are very important in making any decision. We must consider the facts first and foremost in our support of any presidential candidate. Atiku is very clearly the best candidate for President in the 2019 Presidential elections. We cannot have a government which after 3 years in office highlights “TraderMoni” as one of their greatest achievements. Vote Atiku and let’s get Nigeria working again.
Read the full text of the group’s statement below: “The 2019 presidential campaigns will soon commence, and we want to make sure all youth in the length and breadth of Nigeria are #ATIKULATED and well informed on H.E Atiku Abubakar’s achievements, and why he will carry out these achievements on a larger scale as the nation’s President.
“The incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari has not run one successful business, but instead has boasted about owning 150 cows, and this has reflected in his leadership style. He has plunged Nigeria into the worst debt she has ever been in, as well as lowered the standard of living in the nation greatly. Youth like you and I graduate, and now have no guarantee that they will get any job at all. In fact, their chances are lower under Buhari’s government than they ever were before now in the history of Nigeria. Youth are hesitant to marry because they cannot even take care of themselves, let alone a family.
“My dearest youth, we cannot continue under Buhari’s government. Truly, we have been treated like cows and not people because a man can only do what he knows how to do, and cannot do what he does not know. Nigerians gave President Buhari a country to manage, with no WAEC certificate. Someone applying to be a nanny in a nursery school cannot do so having not written WAEC, but we chose him to be the head of the world’s most populous black nation. This does not make sense anywhere in the world, and we are suffering for it now, but my beloved youth, we still have time to change the narrative.

“He is the largest private employer in Nigeria, having employed about 200,000 persons directly and indirectly in diverse fields and disciplines.
“He founded ABTI schools in 1982 and AUN (American University of Nigeria) in 2004. He also put the Atiku Abubakar scholarship in place, which is usable anywhere.
“He was in charge of government businesses as Vice President due to his sound knowledge and expertise on Nigeria’s economy.
“Beside scholarships, he gives loans to farmers, and promotes entrepreneurship and professionalism.
“He has a long-standing record of support for restructuring, equality and national unity.
“As a humanitarian, he founded the Atiku Abubakar Foundation to cater for the less privileged. He is also one of the most philanthropic persons Nigeria has ever produced.
“As you can well see, Atiku is the only one who has what it takes to get this nation out of the economic turmoil, insecurity, lack of vision, and decline in all areas which we are currently facing. It is clear that we need him at this time to get Nigeria back on the right track, as the country has deteriorated especially under the incumbent government. “Lastly dearest youth, we must ignore baseless accusations against Atiku in regards to corruption. Stones are only thrown at fruitful trees. Those who find it hard to believe that God can prosper someone will always believe anybody’s wealth must have been acquired by dubious means. This is jealousy, ignorance, and lies. Ignore such people and let us focus on the task at hand: to get Nigeria working again! Go on social media and tell everyone you know to get #ATIKULATED. Join the campaign! This is an all hands on deck situation. Atikulate your families, colleagues, friends, spouses, in-laws and out-laws. Atikulate your neighbours, business partners, staff and bosses. Atikulate everyone! Together, we will march forward as a nation.”
