Operatives of the State Security Service,SSS stormed the venue of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign at Race Course, Kano.They claimed they had orders to stop the movement.
One of the activists in Kano told Newsdiaryonline.com Thursday morning,“SSS stormed Race Cource Kano now claiming there is a standing order not to allow#BringBackOurGirls Campaign to continue anywhere!
The eye witness however said further,”we are still talking to them at the Race Course Now”.
It was later learnt that the #BringBackOurGirls campaign continued after the encounter with the security operatives in Kano.
Thursday’s encounter marks yet another episode in the federal government’s seeming unease and growing intolerance towards the protesters demanding that government should #BringBackOurGirls,Now and Alive.
On Wednesday,the Minister of Information alleged that 90% of those in the #BringBackOurGirls campaign belong to opposition All Progressives Congress,APC.
Maku said “The entire money we are spending is to maintain security in states controlled by that party(APC). So why do you come back and start playing politics?
“We are busy spending money to maintain security in those states, what have they done about it? (This) is because 90 percent of all insurgency is in states controlled by that party.
Then he dropped the shocking clincher:“Ninety percent of those campaigning to bring back Chibok girls are members of that party.
Same day,some apparently sponsored people attacked the #BringBackOurGirls campaigners in Abuja.
