Reports reaching Newsdiaryonline said an armoured Personnel Carrier,APC apparently stationed in front of the personal residence of the residence of Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo exploded at about 6pm on Thursday.
The explosion killed two soldiers while two others were injured.It was not immediately clear if any of the governor’s family members was affected.
Our reporter said Gombe State Commissioner for Information Abu Dawaki confirmed the incident but he said the explosion happened at the governor’s residence, not the Government House .
