Kogi State Governor, Capt Idris Wada has dissolved the state’s Executive Council and other political appointments made prior to the emergence of his administrations on January 27th this year.
Capt Wada announced the dissolutions at the end of a valedictory Executive Council meeting held at Lugard House Lokoja on Wednesday.
A statement by Jacob Edi, special adviser ,media and strategy to the governor said he thanked all the departing appointees for their invaluable service to the state and urged them to continue to make their experience and knowledge available to his administration in whatever capacity they find themselves henceforth.
The dissolution affects all appointees that are not civil servants. The former state functionaries are to hand over to permanent secretaries or the highest ranking civil servants in their respective former offices.
