Meanwhile, the former governor has reacted to the disagreements in the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the outcome of the recently concluded APC congress. He frowned at those trying to disrupt internal democratic process in the party adding that fractionalization of the party is an unnecessary display of power and arrogance. He explained that congress is only a micro part of the entire system and added that exhibiting actions that could cause tensions is not healthy for the party. He charged all camps to close ranks towards the greater success of the party adding that democracy must prevail for the progress of the entire nation.
On the recent controversial video on the social media where the former governor was shown to have made an offensive statement about his actions in his former party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he reiterated that he never made such a statement. He however cautioned against irresponsible use of social media adding that people should desist from destructive online behavior. “Social media users should refrain from commenting and posting doctored videos that cannot be verified. People should learn how to engage in positive online use and stop propagating fake news”. Kalu said.
