Actually protests have trailed Bajoga’s nomination from his Southern Kaduna. His opponents have said he is too old for the job since Yero is 44 years old while Bajoga is 63.They also argue that with Bajoga as Deputy Governor, southern Kaduna will lose the chairmanship of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state which Bajoga held before his nomination.
Reports said as his screening was being held today a cross section of placards-carrying youth from southern Kaduna were in front of the House of Assembly demanding that the area retains the position of the PDP chairman.
However,Aliyu Balarabe Jigo, member of the house representing Magajin Gari constituency in Birnin Gwari local government area told reporters “I commend Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga as the new Deputy Governor of the state.
“The Deputy Governor is a senior person and this is a welcome development in the state considering the fact that the Governor is a younger gentleman.
“They will all work for the development of the state so the elderly man will assist him. Bajoga has the experience and maturity to assist the governor.”
