Kaduna Electric commissions three transformers in Sokoto, Kebbi

In a bid to further ensure steady power supply to its strategic customers, the Management of Kaduna Electric last Saturday, commissioned three 7.5MVA power transformers at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and Fadama injection substation, Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking at Sokoto, the Managing Director/CEO, Engineer Garba Haruna disclosed that the prompt response of Company after the inferno that burnt the 6MVA power transform at Usman Danfodio ,Sokoto a few months ago underscored the importance Kaduna Electric attaches to providing conducive learning environment to the university in particular and educational development in general.

He described “the University as one of the priority customers of the Company in Sokoto State and the Company shall always render all necessary assistance to the University when called upon”.

Responding, the vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdullahi Zuru expressed satisfaction with the services of the Company and commended the Managing Director for his prompt intervention.

It will be recalled that the permanent campus of the University was plunged into darkness after an early morning inferno destroyed the 6.0MVA transformer serving the university early in the year.

Similarly on Sunday, the Managing Director/CEO, Engineer Garba Haruna commissioned two 7.5MVA transformers at Fadama injection substation located at GRA  Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital.

Engineer Haruna used the occasion to call on the Company’s customers to reciprocate the gesture by paying their bills as at when due and safe guard the integrity of all power supply infrastructure in their neighborhood. He assured that the target set by his Management team is to ensure steady power supply to the public 24/7.
