#TrackNigeria: Gov. Abubakar Bello of Niger has inaugurated the N400 million water project in Izom community of Gurara Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that the inauguration took place during his campaign rally to Gawu Babangida in Gurara on Sunday.
The water scheme has the capacity to dispense over 3,000 cubic meters of water per day to residents of Izom, Lambata and Gawu Babangida villages.
At the palace of Alhaji Mohammed Usman, District Head of Gawu Babangida, the governor called on the people to vote all candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“These communities for years now have had no portable water, this water project no doubt will save the people and ease their sufferings,” he said.
He, however called on the people to support his re-election bid to enable him continue with developmental projects.
Usman, had commended the achievements of the present administration and said that such achievements would serve as legacies in the state.
Usman, who was represented by Alhaji Sale Usman, District Head of Diko, appealed to the governor to provide vehicles for district heads in the council to ease their movement. (NAN)
