Anambra State is not new to political high drama. And it seems history is about repeat itself.
As the battle to for the governorship seat hots up,Newsdiaryonline has learnt,Tony Nwoye, one of the All Progressives Congress,APC gubernatorial candidate in Anambra has signed a secret agreement with Chief Arthur Eze, a businessman from Enugu.
Nwoye and Eze, according to a copy of the agreement, obtained by Newsdiaryonline, said if Nwoye wins he “will give the sponsor(Eze) the power/privilege to appoint Ten(10) Commissioners in the Ministries of his choice in his cabinet.”
Also, Nwoye agreed that he “will give the Sponsor a monthly 30% of the total Internal Generated Revenue(IGR) of the state.
From this deal, it is easy to discern that the groundwork may have been laid for another round of crisis if Nwoye, as most Nigerian politicians often do, wins and reneges on the deal.
It could be recalled that the deal between Ex Governor Chris Ngige(then PDP) and Chris Uba went awry, thus plunging Anambra into crisis.
Arthur Eze has reportedly denied signing any deal with anybody. He also said described the document as fake while he told a Daily Post reporter who contacted him that police are investigating the matter
