An explosion has ripped through Potiskum on Monday killing at least 10 peoples.Reuters reported that the explosion occurred “as Shi’ite Muslims marched through a market, marking the ritual of Ashoura”.
Potiskum in Yobe state has also been grappling with Boko Haram insurgency .Borno and Adamawa are the other states in Nigeria’s north east under emergency rule due to Boko Haram terrorist attacks.
Despite the federal government’s announcement of ceasefire with the insurgents, attacks have continued.
