Election: Wike’s adviser commends INEC for improved conduct of elections

#TrackNigeria: Mr Emmanuel Epkrikpo, Special Adviser to  Gov. Nyesom Wike on Conflict Resolution,  said INEC  improved on its processes during Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections, especially in early arrival of election materials and distribution.

He spoke on Saturday in Ikuru, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers,in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

” So far so good, for this process unlike the Presidential/National Assembly elections when materials arrived about 3 p.m. but today by 11.33 a.m. we got our materials.

“It’s commendable, I have voted here in Unit 1, Ward 5, Ikuru town, and the card readers are also working; voters response was also encouraging,” he said.

In the same vein, a PDP agent, Mr Gogo Mneme, said the voting process was peaceful.’

In Unit 14, Mr Temple Lambert, an Accord Party agent, also said the process was smooth as card readers issues were not yet recorded unlike during the previous election.(NAN)
