Reports Tuesday said a dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed on Lafia ,Nasarawa state capital , following the escalation of the violence in the state.The curfew holds from 6:00pm to 6:00am,reports said.
Violence escalated after the alleged killing of the leader of the Ombatse sect at the weekend in the state.This gave rise to reprisal killings against Fulani herdsmen.
Already, there have been reports of mass exodus away from Lafia.
The police and government officials have been calling for calm as authorities move to stem the growing tide of violence in the state.
