Cyber crime: EFCC operatives nab 22 suspected fraudsters in Delta

#TrackNigeria: The Southeast zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Sunday arrested 22 suspects of cybercrime in Sapele, Delta state.

The zonal Head, Usman Imam confirmed the arrest to news men, saying that the commission acted on intelligence gathering to swoop on the suspects, whose ages according to him, range between 18 to 30 years.

He added that the Commission had arrested two suspected internet fraudsters in Ughelli town in Delta State.

“Items recovered from the suspects include laptop computers, iPhones, phones, ATM cards and three exotic vehicles, Benz C350, Benz ML 350 and Chrysler 300.

“The raid on internet fraudsters is one in the series by operatives of the Commission in line with the directive of the acting Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Magu,” Imam said.

He called called on Nigerian youths to toe the path of honesty. “I want to appeal to parents to take up their God given responsibilities of monitoring their children or wards, the commission is currently investigating cases in the South South, South East, among others,” he said.
