President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has appointed Professor Rufa’i Alkali as his new Special Adviser on Political Affairs,a statement by Presidential Spokesman,Reuben Abati said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
Professor Alkali, a Political Scientist, once served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna last year. He hails from Gombe State.
Alkali by this appointment replaces Mr Ahmed Gulak was recently sacked by the president.
Also today ,the President appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools’ Agriculture Programme. Hajia Sani was until recently, the Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.
Both appointments are with immediate effect,Abati said.
