Bayelsa Projects: Dickson Presents N4.7bn Cheques To Contractors

Bayelsa State Government has presented another round of cheques worth N4.7 billion for the continuation of on going projects in the state. Presenting the cheques to representatives of Sadogi Nigeria Limited and Okmas Nigeria Limited, in Government House, Yenagoa, Governor Seriake Dickson said the N4 billion was for the completion of the Tower Hotel within 18 months.

Expressing satisfaction with the extent of work already done on the outer ring road linking the Bayelsa Palm and the AIT road, Governor Dickson also presented a cheque of N700 million for the speedy completion of the dualization of that section of the road.

Governor Dickson said “the N4 billion is to enable you re-mobilise to site. We have engaged world class consultants all the way from South Africa, who have the experience and expertise in the development of tourism facilities all around the world. They will work with you and with the support of government, we believe that by the grace of God, that project will be successful.”

He thanked representatives of the companies for their commitment as development partners of government, stating that when the project is completed it would go a long way in transforming the landscape of the state capital.

In their separate remarks, representatives of Okmas Nigeria Limited, Engr. Jonhny Bayeh, Sadogi Nigeria Limited, Engr. Ephraim Tewolde, assured that they wpould deliver the projects on schedule.

Also the chairman of the Legacy Consultancy Group, representative of the mangers of the Tower Group, Mr. Bart Dorrestein, expressed delight with the role of the Group in the Tower project.
