The Kaduna state District Heads Forum has described the murder of the paramount ruler of Adara community, Dr Maiwada Galadima as an irreparable loss to Kaduna state and Nigeria at large.
A press statement jointly signed by the District Heads of Patika, Manchok and Zangon Kataf, Alhaji Nuhu Lawal Umar, Ishaya J. Tabat and Alhaji Lawal Atik respectively said the slain paramount ruler was an an extraordinarily humble and peaceful gentleman.
The District Heads frowned at the resort to violence on even the most flimsiest excuse and called on communities to reciprocate the gesture of government by working collectively towards maintaining peace and ensuring harmonious coexistence.
“The murder of such a humble Royal Father, the Agom Adara Dr Maiwada Galadima is both unfortunate and heartless.
“On receiving news of the incident, this Forum write letters to the Chairman of Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, Dr Shehu, Emir of Zazzau and the government of Kaduna state condoling them and reaffirming our solidarity with government and strong commitment to restoration of peace and maintenance of law and order.
While identifying with the bold unprecedented measures taken promptly by the state government under Malam Nasir el-Rufai, this Forum further urges all communities to shun instigation to violence and embrace, cordiality and communal harmony.
“We believe and are convinced that communal harmony is the only sustainable and solid bedrock of any form of development anywhere in the world.
“We therefore urge all communities to support the the Kaduna state government’s efforts for sustaining peace and security and to support the laudable initiatives of the administration.
“We also urge the authorities to double efforts in fishing out all those remotely and directly connected with this dastardly act and subjecting them to the full course of the law,” the statement read.
