Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has expressed optimism Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal would abide by his oaths of office, to protect the integrity and fundamental human rights of all citizens of the state.
He spoke on Wednesday at his Gawon Nama residence when he received various groups and associations in continuation of the myriad of Sallah homages .
“I am also harbouring a strong belief that the governor is not aware of the recent developments in the state,.
“So, the apprehension by some government officials loyal to the All Progressives Congress ( APC), would be sacked by the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), led state government does not hold any water .
“So, I am hereby admonishing those officials loyal to the party to beat, the APC, to henceforth go about their normal activities devoid of any of such phobia,” Senator Wamakko, added.
Senator Wamakko averred that, all those who attended the recent historic mega rally to receive him from a successful trip to Abuja, did so based on their strong , unequivocal conviction to the change agenda of the APC.
“The people of the state would not in anyway shirk from their unflinching and undiluted support and cooperation to President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC,” Senator Wamakko, vowed.
The lawmaker warned youths in the state and the nation to shun acts of thuggery , as well as all unbecoming behaviours capable of breaching peace and unity in the state and the country.
Wamakko called for sustained fervent prayers to ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of the 2019 general elections.
He further reiterated his passionate appeal to the people of the state to strive to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ( PVC).
The Sarkin Yakin Sokoto also cautioned them, “without the cards, you will be inflicting self harm, by disenfranchising yourselves.
“Consequently, you cannot vote the trusted and credible candidates of the leading party in Nigeria , the APC, during the forthcoming general elections. “
He prayed for bumper harvests, as well as ceaseless socioeconomic development of the state and Nigeria, in general.
