The Bus Conductor Association of Nigeria (BCAN) has lauded the successes recorded by President Muhammadu Buhari in his anti-graft war, promising to support him in 2019 elections.
Mr Israel Adeshola, the National President of BCAN spoke on the sidelines at the inauguration of National Executive Officers of BCAN in Lagos.
Adeshola said: “It is true that individuals do influence history and progressive transformation of the society.
“One of such individuals is President Buhari who has, against all odds, positioned the country on the part of progressive development.
“BCAN has set in motion machinery for the return of this great visionary and selfless leader to steer the ship of the country to a great height through anti-graft war.”
According to him, the association believes in the president and have faith in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“This is why we have collectively resolved to support and join the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) toward 2019 elections.
Adeshola said that the campaign organisation comprises over 200 groups of artisans and professionals including BCAN.
He said that various programmes had been earmarked for artisans by the Federal Government including access to soft loans to boost trades and improve their standard of living.
The BCAN partnership with the Buhari Campaign Organisation is as a result of coming together of over 200 organisations to support Buhari’s administration for second term.
“We are calling on all Nigerians of voting age to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to enable them to vote during elections.
“We have inaugurated a committee to work with BCO to ensure full support during the 2019 elections.
Commenting, Alhaji, Danladi Pasali, the National Coordinator of BCO, urged various members of the group to get their PVCs to enable them to vote during the elections.
Pasali urged the newly inaugurated members of BCAN to work for the progress of the association. (NAN)
