Moroccan authorities have repatriated 235 stranded nationals in Libya, local media reported on Friday.

The local media said that the repatriated Moroccans landed in Casablanca after they were transported by the Moroccan national carrier, Royal Air Maroc from Tunisia.

The migrants, who were trying to cross to Italy through Libya, found themselves held by human trafficking networks in the North African country.

Morocco had repatriated in an earlier operation some 190 Moroccans. (Xinhua/NAN)
