The Initiative for Dialogue and Development, a non partisan, non religious and cross generation representative organisation for the promotion of informed and inclusive citizens dialogue and engagements, has announced its flagship programme SoapboxNG, a people’s engagement platform for inclusive dialogue and national cohesion.
A statement Dr. Ike Neliaku, Chairman of the organisation and Mallam Abubakar Jijiwa, Vice Chairman said which will hold on Thursday, 28thSeptember 2017, at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, by 10am. Its theme is “Reinventing our Nationhood.”
The event will be chaired by former Head of State, General Dr. Yakubu Gowon, who will also unveil the “peoples platform” SoapboxNG.This maiden edition will feature the following very distinguished Lead Speakersin a debate, engagement and dialogue, Prof.Ango Abdulahi, Nze Fedelis Ozichukwu Chukwu, Prof. Jerry Gana, Madam Ankio Briggs, Engr. Buba Galadima and Prof. Adebayo Williams.
SoapboxNG will also host a rich cream of cross-generational panel of Lead Discussants, who include; Prof. C J Dakas, Chief Mrs. Gloria Laraba Shoda, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, Ms. Idayat Hassan, Dr. Nick Okoye, Juliet ‘Kego, Bashir Yusuf Mundi, Chief Mrs. Felicia Sani, Audu Maikori, Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed, Mr. Rotimi Olawale and Ms.Yadoma Bukar Mandara.
The event is also billed to have an interactive citizens engagement session, which will feature representatives from the legislators, civil society, professional organisations, youth groups, people with disability, women organisations and other stakeholders.
According to the organizers, participation is free and open to all patriotic Citizens just as guests are to be seated by 9.30am.
