Adamawa Speaker Denies Beating Up Police Orderly

The speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly,Mr . Kabiru Mijinyawa has described reports that he beat up his police orderly a plan by his political enemies to cause cracks among his loyalists in the state.
According to him the report is baseless, false, unfounded and malicious in an effort to also dent his image in the eyes of the general public.

Mijinyawa who spoke through the House Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mallam Yahaya Mohammed Daji in a Press release in Yola said : “As a Legislator he has utmost respect for the rule of law and will not carry out such dastardly act against anybody, let alone …a police officer attached to me “.

Kabiru in a telephone interview further explained that the story was meant to discourage him from performing his legislative functions to the people of Adamawa State.

“If it is not so, tell me why can’t the media hear my side of the story? Don’t you feel it is just an attempt to destroy my political career? In Sha Allah, my God will not let them (succeed),” he stressed
“How can a rational human being, somebody of my type to stoop low in beating a police officer.It is embarrassing to my office, my personality,the people I’m representing and My State.

” I have never denied anybody attached to my office his or her their entitlements. We are best of friends with (my) domestic,security and even my supporting staff in the office. Why should people cook up story from the moon against me? “.

“I’m out to serve my people (Adamawa state) and the rantings of my enemies will never succeed,” Kabiru added
