Collation disrupted
Godsday Orubebe said PDP has lost confidence in Jega. That Jega responded to APC ‘s protest about Rivers, but allegedly failed to respond to PDP’s protest.Alleges that APC had already printed a result .
He accused Jega of being compromised. He wants Jega to set up a committee to go to Kano,,Kaduna, Katsina and Jigawa. He insisted Jega must go to his office and respond to PDP’s allegations. We won’t take it.
Jega responds
He identified the two issues :’That there was a petition which I did not respond’ and Secondly ” you claimed APC has a result which you alleged I gave to them.”
He said Bello Fadile had given his PA some papers yesterday and claimed Jega asked him to give him.”I said I did not ask him to give you papers “and he ordered the documents be returned.
As I speak I have not received any petition from PDP ,Jega said .
On results to APC Jega said “I do not give results to anybody.. and e have warned anybody to be careful not to declare result. It is not fair to engage me on that..You are a former minister of the federal republic and you should be careful about your public conduct.
Collation resumes.

Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmed (APC) speaks demanding explanation on the delay of Rivers result.
Jega responds:
That on Sunday Morning he received a petition from APC demanding cancellation and rescheduling.I circulated to commission’s members and had a meeting which reviewed it and decided to investigate .We set up a 3 man comittee which went to Port Harcourt and returned this morning.
There were a number of points adduced why it should be cancelled and rescheduled
-that elections did not take place
-that result sheets were not available etc
We spent time trying to verify
We have established that elections were held,Jega said.
We cannot establish any cancellations or substitutions. The explanations given to us were satisfactory….
We do not believe the allegations are substantial enough to cancel and reschedule elections in Rivers. We will take the results of the elections in Rivers.
We are also investigating administrative lapses etc….Elections not perfect,we don not not see substantial reason to cancel Rivers election. That is why we are presenting the election result of Rivers state, Jega said.
