President Goodluck Jonathan has sent the names of six nominees to Nigeria’s Senate for confirmation as minister,Africa Independent Television AIT has reported Friday.
Mr Musiliu Obanikoro, former minister of state (Defence) is among those nominated again by Jonathan. Some of the other names reportedly on the list include Patricia Akwashiki and Kenneth Kobani.
Obanikoro’s nomination may not come as a surprise to many.After losing the recent gubernatorial primaries in Lagos state to Jimi Agbaje, the former minister appeared to be spoiling for war threatening a showdown .But PDP chieftains including President Goodluck Jonathan intervened to ensure peace in Lagos PDP.
