Against the widespread news on a purported release of Chibok School Girls on Tuesday , the Nigerian Defence Headquarters has refuted the report.
PRNigeria said in a press release quoted the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade as having said said : “the story circulating in respect of the release of the Chibok girls is not true please.”
Olukolade said further that “The buses that drove into the barracks were conveying other individuals.”
Meanwhile PRNigeria also reported that that the Defence Headquarters may address the press this week on some recent developments in the counter-insurgency campaigns were many terrorists were killed and others captured by the Nigerian troops.
