A 47-year-old man, Oladosu Dauda, on Friday appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, in Lagos State, for allegedly destroying a fence worth N3million.
Dauda, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and wilful damage.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the both counts of the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp. Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant committed the offences with five other persons still at large on Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. at Ajebo Village, Oreta, Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa said that the defendant pulled down the fence of the complainant, Chief Olatunji Oreagba.
She said that the defendant also stopped the the complainant from carrying out his dredging activities.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections, 350 and 356 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr A.B.Shonuga, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Shonuga adjourned the case until Jan. 13, for mention. (NAN)
