Engr Ihezie Emerges Chairman Njiko Igbo UK, Seeks Merger of APGA,PPA

At the meeting of Njiko Igbo held in London on 9th January 2013 which was presided over by the National Co-ordinator of Njiko Igbo Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, Engr Victor Ihezie emerged as the Chairman of Njiko Igbo UK out of the other four candidates who contested. At the same meeting, Barr Kenny Chukwuma emerged as the Secretary of Njiko Igbo UK out of the three candidates that contested for the position.

Accepting the honour, Engr Ihezie thanked everybody for the honour and asked for the unity of Igbos all over the world as we work towards the actualisation of the Igbo dream in 2015. The new Njiko Igbo Chairman thanked all Igbos for the support given to him and that with joint effort with his Secretary Barr Kenny Chukwuma that we will work together to produce a president after 42 years of the civil war.Barr Chukwuma reiterated belief for Igbos to embrace Njiko Igbo and stated that Igbo’s unity must be now and not tomorrow.

Prof Okafor at the meeting thanked all Igbos to support Njiko Igbo and appealed to all zones to give their support as the Igbos supported Shagari,M.K.O. Abiola, Obasanjo, Yar’adua  and President Goodluck Jonathan and it is time for the other zones to support the Igbos if we are to call ourselves one Nigeria.

Also speaking, Emeka Okoli called on Igbos to appeal to Dr Orji Uzor Kalu to come back to politics as we need him to come out to unite the Igbos socially and economically as we are proud of his struggle for good governance during President Obasanjo’s administration. We all ask him to come out and contest for Presidency in 2015.

The new Chairman of Njiko Igbo UK called for Dr Orji Kalu to work with Gov Peter Obi and Gov Rochas Okorocha for the merger of APGA and PPA in order to achieve the igbo objectives. He stated that the new party should be All Peoples Progressive Grand Alliance under the leadership of Chief Sir Victor Umeh.

Mr Nkemdilim Otuonye called on all to support Chief Victor Umeh’s leadership with the merger of the two political parties under Chief Victor Umeh. He also called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to grant Chief Ifeanyi Ubah the freedom to carry on the operations of his business Capital Oil without undue pressure.

A UK businessman Dr Chima, who is not a member of any political party stated that he believes that the merger of the two parties will be a good move towards achieving the Igbo people’s dream and called on Sir Victor Umeh to lead the new party like he has always done.

Dr Chima stated that he will support Engr Ihezie’s chairmanship of Njiko Igbo and stated that now is the time for the Igbos. He recalled that a major tribe like Igbos must be part of the ruling of Nigeria as the Igbos don’t have any position in the ruling of the country Nigeria.
