Young artistes from northern part of Nigeria who are talented but without opportunity to treat the wider public to their artistic prowess would have an opportunity to do so on Sarewa Africa, a new reality show to be championed by Habiba and Gazelle Foundation.
Sarewa Africa reality show is to create opportunity for the empowerment of the poor and talented northern artistes with the winner earning a brand new KIA Cerato and a N25m musical recording contract to enable the winner continue to build his/her career.
Managing Director, Habiba and Gazelle Foundation, Habiba Abubakar Ismail said the reality show would concentrate on the core values of the Northern people while it creates opportunity for the artistes who are expected to make presentation on key areas of the country highlighting the importance of a united Nigeria.
She said “the music genre in the Sarewa Africa reality show is unlimited. The talent hunts will welcome music ranging from social crises, romance, unity, non-violence, corruption political stability and any other developmental needs in our society.”
She stressed that the event is structured to embrace all aspects of the cherished values of the region and would not in any way be tailored to promote foreign culture which does not conform to the socio-cultural realities of the region and Africa.
Habiba who is also going to be the producer of the show said Sarewa Africa would focus and promote the development of Kanywood whose contribution to regional and Nigeria development remains highly appreciable.
She said the all artiste who consider themselves capable of participating in the show should enlist on the programme and take advantage of the platform that will improve their lives and their community.
Chairman of the Foundation Sen. Bello Maitama said the initiative is novel and deserves the support of the region to improve on the quality of the artistes, their lives and community.
