(Press Release)The Progressive Peoples Alliance PPA has dissolved the Zonal and State Executive Committees of the party in the South-Western States of Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti.
According to the National Chairman of PPA, Chief Sam Nkire, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party took the decision to dissolve the state excos because their tenure had long expired.
The PPA National Chairman said Article 10 C (111) of the party’s constitution empowers the NWC to dissolve Zonal, State, LGA or Ward Executive Committees when it is absolutely necessary. He stated that the affected party organs in the South-West Zone would be reconstituted in due course, pending when congresses are conducted to produce officials to take over from the care-taker committees.
The PPA boss thanked the affected officials for their services and urged them to remain loyal to the party as according him some of those who had discharged their duties creditably could reappointed or considered for higher assignments.
