Etche Government Area has been declared as the best child friendly Local Government Area in Rivers State.
The declaration which was made by the State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation at Isaac Boro Park earned Etche Local Government Council an award by the First Assembly of Rivers State Children’s Parliament.
Presenting the award to the people of Etche at Etche Local Government Secretariat, Okehi, the Chairman of Etche Local Government, Mr. Reginald Ukwuoma, thanked the Ministry for recognizing the efforts of the Council towards giving the children a base for greater development.
