The Ebonyi State Care-Taker Committee of the Progressive Peoples Alliance PPA has been dissolved. A statement by the National Chairman of PPA, Chief Sam Nkire said the new care-taker committee would be chaired by Hon Samuel Udeogu, while Mr John Ogodo would be secretary.
According to the statement, the new care-taker committee will last for three months but renewable based on performance; until state congresses are held. Meanwhile, the Progressive Peoples Alliance has thanked the former Chairman of the party in Ebonyi State, Princess Frances Mgbada for her contributions to the party and urged her to hand-over all party property in her possession to the new leadership.
In another development, the National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Alliance PPA, Chief Sam Nkire, who is himself a journalist by training, has congratulated both the in-coming and out-going editors of the SUN newspapers who were affected by the recent reorganization in the organization. To the in-coming editors he said they merited their elevation through hard-work while according to him, the out-going editors had distinguished themselves and deserved to move on to higher assignments. Chief Nkire added that he had no doubt that both management and board of the SUN newspapers would be better for the changes, in terms of content,appeal, readership satisfaction and profitability.
