#TrackNigeria: Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Celestine Okoye, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of voters who turned out for the presidential and national assembly elections.

Okoye said through the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu on Saturday in Gusau, that the elections have been peaceful so far, across the state.

He urged the people to remain vigilant and report any attempt to breach the peace to relevant security agencies for prompt intervention.

“We have so far visited some of the polling units in Gusau and neighbouring local government areas, the CP is satisfied with the conduct of voters in the state.

“We urge the voters to continue with the peaceful conduct during  the elections and after the declaration of results.”

He directed policemen to remain in their duty posts until end of the exercise.

The election exercise in the state had earlier experienced low turnout and delay in arrival of INEC personnel and election materials.

There has been no report of any security breach across the state. (NAN)
