Nigeria’s authoritative online newspaper, News Express, and the African Press Organization (APO) have sealed a content partnership agreement designed to significantly expand the reach of both organisations.
“This partnership agreement sealed after exhaustive deliberations is worth celebrating as it will not only add value to our offering but also help fast-track the realisation of our ambition to become Africa’s pre-eminent online newspaper,” said News Express Publisher, Mr. Isaac Umunna, in a statement released in Lagos.
Commenting on the partnership agreement, which takes immediate effect, François Mognard, Project Manager, African Press Organization, said it confers on News Express the right “to publish the APO full content.”
In return, News Express “would be mentioned on our main website and in all the distribution reports we send to the numerous organisations using the APO to distribute their press releases,” Mognard stated.
Based in Dakar, Senegal, but with strong international presence, APO is used by several international institutions, organisations, governments and leading companies to distribute important statements on wide-ranging issues, among them business, telecommunications, health and politics. Its clients include the African Union, UNICEF and the US Government.
News Express, on its part, is strong in business, politics, sports and entertainment, and boasts a readership that stretches into the millions.
