Law School :Muslim students hold annual symposium

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigerian (MSSN), Nigerian Law School, Lagos campus will on Saturday , 3rd March , 2012 at 10.00 am hold a bumper  Annual Symposium, for the year 2011/2012 academic session.

This is contained in a press statement jointly signed by the Public Relations Officer,  Olatundun O.Nurudeen and Chairman Organizing Committee , Murtala  Taofiq. The statement said that, the Lagos State Attorney  General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye will be the Special Guest of Honour while, Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) will be the Chairman of the Occasion.

Accordingly, the  programme  also attracts seasoned scholars and practitioners, like Dr. F.A.R Adeleke of the Faculty of Law , Lagos State University(LASU) to deliver a Paper on “Matters Arising in Human Rights & Gender  Issues”; Mrs  Adeejat  Kolawole, lecturer at the Faculty of Law ,Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye will speak on “Women & Child’s Rights ; Contemporary Challenges in Nigeria” while the Former Special Assistant  to the Lagos State Governor on Legislatives Matters, Hon. Abdulhakeem Abdullateef will speak on “Human Rights & Gender Issues; Shari’ah Perspective”.

The statement which said, the Deputy Director General of Nigeria Law School, Lagos Campus would be the Chief Host also  urges members of the public to attend the event.

In addition, there will be visitation to the Ikoyi Prison(s) to speak with inmates and extend  love to them as enjoined by the Holy prophet Mohammad ( SAW).
