Kidnappers Free Elders Statesman Shettima Ali Monguno

Reports said the kidnappers of Elders Statesman ,Shettima Ali Monguno have released him .His freedoms reached newsrooms Monday afternoon amid unconfirmed claims that some N50 million ransom may have been paid .
Though officials confirmed his freedom, none could confirm whether any ransom was indeed paid and to whom.
The elder statesman was kidnapped as he stepped out of the Mosque after Jumaat prayers last Friday.His kidnap was trailed by massive condemnation of the act amid questions  over why gunmen should kidnap such an elder.
There had been serious worries over the health of the old man  because he had no access to his drugs throughout his travails.
