#TrackNigeria – The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has issued a corrigendum on a press release it issued last week about the conviction of former DG NIHSA.
The corrigendum issued Monday morning and signed by Mrs. Rasheedat A. Okoduwa, mni, Spokesperson for the Commission noted that “various media outlets erroneously carried Hon. Justice Adeniyi Ademola as the trial judge instead of Hon. Justice Olukayode Adeniyi which is the correct name.”
The commission thus expressed regrets over the error.
The corrigendum reads: “This is to notify the general public that the conviction story released by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Thursday 11th July, 2019, titled, “ICPC: Former DG NIHSA convicted for Diversion of N603 million,” and circulated in various media outlets erroneously carried Hon. Justice Adeniyi Ademola as the trial judge instead of Hon. Justice Olukayode Adeniyi which is the correct name.
“The error is regretted. The general public should take note, please.”
