Our attention was drawn to a story in the premium times an online medium titled: ‘Presidential convoy defies traffic rules endangers road users’ wherein it was insinuated to refer to the Vice Presidents Convoy who according to the story was returning from the airport having seen the President off to proceed for an official engagement outside the country.
This is to correct the misnomer contained in the story and to state that the VP did not go to the airport as he was in his office throughout yesterday after the FEC meeting and could therefore not be returning from the airport while being in his office throughout the day.
The report further alluded to making efforts to reach me but to no avail,it must be stated that no such effort was made to contact me as all my lines were open for both calls and text messages.
We therefore request for a retraction of the story as it is capable of misleading members of the public.
