Northern Leaders of state delegates to the National Conference who met on Sunday under the auspices of Northern Delegates Forum led by the co Chairmen,former I G Ibrahim Coomasie have appointed fresh leaders. Rtd Lt General J T Useni stood in for Prof Jerry Gana, the co-chairman.
A statement Anthony N Z Sani, spokesman of Northern Delegates Forum said the forum appointed Hon Mohammed Kumalia as the Secretary.He is to be assisted by Ambassador Mamman Yusufu,while Mr Anthony N Z Sani is to serve as the forum’s spokesman , to be assisted by Hon Mrs Binta Garba.All the appointments take immediate effect.
The meeting considered the unfolding developments in the National Conference with a view to articulating common positions on issues most northerners share-as well as paying due attention to issues that are peculiar to their states and communities-with unity of purpose that comes with clear thought,clear morality and clear expression for the over all good of national unity and interest as they affect the North.
The new appointees are expected to assist the co-chairmen of former I G Ibrahim Coomasie and Prof Jerry Gana in the task of effective management practices of the Northern Delegates Forum.
