The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the Alumni Association of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) will hold its 2024 Congress between November 29 and 30, 2024.
A former Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Abdallah Uba Adamu will be the keynote speaker of the Congress, to be held at the NUC Auditorium.
According to Mallam Aliyu Umar Aliyu, Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee of the FCT Chapter of the BUK Alumni Association, this year’s Congress will be an unforgettable event for their members, who are over 1,000 in number.
“This is more than just an event; it’s a unique opportunity to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our alumni community,” a statement by Mr. Alhassan Mohammed of the BUK Alumni Association, FCT Chapter, said.
Mohammed, in a notification post, explained that with over 1,000 members coming together, there will be an opportunity for them to share their stories, exchange ideas, and strengthen the bonds that unite them.
“Let’s harness our collective experiences to innovate and explore ways to give back to BUK, the institution that has profoundly shaped our lives.
“Get ready for some friendly competition! There will be an exciting novelty football match between Team New Site and Team Old Site, adding an extra layer of fun to our gathering.
“Your presence is vital as we aim to elevate our association and support our members in new and impactful ways. Together, we can achieve greatness and make a difference.

Meanwhile, Mallam Aliyu Umar, in a press release, has emphasized that the 2024 Congress is an avenue for members to reconnect, rekindle old friendships, and also start new ones. “It’s about sharing stories and experiences, and delighting in the fact that we have made it this far.”
