Several people have been killed in Damaturu,Yobe state as a suspected female suicide bomber hit a crowded the Phase 1 eid praying ground in the town.
There was no clear report about the casualty figure but eyewitnesses said they saw some corpses at blast scene.
Borno and Yobe have been the hardest hit as Boko Haram insurgency lingers in the north eastern part of Nigeria.
On Thursday evening however, at least 48 people were killed in explosions at Gombe Central Market in Gombe State also in the north east.
Victims of the Gombe blasts were those who went to the market for shopping ahead of today’s eid el fitri, end of Ramadan Sallah celebrations.
The new government of President Muhammadu Buhari still appears to be perfecting its strategy towards tackling Boko Haram.Buhari changed the service chiefs earlier in the week.He has repeatedly assured Nigerians that Boko Haram will be defeated.
Insurgents have however renewed attacks since Buhari’s inauguration on May 29, 2015.
