Service at the headquarters of COCIN Church,Jos was violently disrupted this morning as a bomb went off within the premises.The blast took place at 7.30am today while service was still going.Newsdiaryonline learnt that service there usually commences at about 7.00am .A section of the church was said to have been badly damaged.
It is the church where Governor Jonah Jang usually worships on Sundays but our correspondent said the governor was not in the church when the blast occurred today.
The casualty figure could not be confirmed but bodies of victims have been moved to a hospital the correspondent said.Latest reports howver said at least two people were killed.
Jos has been on the boil for years and the Federal government imposed partial state of emergency in Jos North and other local government areas.But all that has not brought violence in the state to an end.
