Reports from Minna , Niger state capital in Nigeria said Speaker Isa Kawu who was elected a week ago has been impeached by the Niger State House of Assembly.
Kawu had been sworn in Tuesday last week on the heels of the impeachment of Mohammed Tsowa.Already,Hon Adamu Usman has emerged as the new speaker of the state house of assembly.But there are indications that he will equally have to watch out for the proverbial Banana Peels .
Some observers had actually wondered whether Kawu, known for his principled stand on issues could last long on his position as speaker of the state assembly.His impeachment thus confirms the fear that the forces that were rattled by his emergence indeed launched a counter-move, which finally resulted in Kawu’s ouster.
