The Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi says Enugu Mass Movement for Atiku, EMMOFA will be fully integrated into the PDP campaign machinery for the 2019 general elections to ensure that the party sweeps the polls from the state to the presidential elections. Governor Ugwuanyi who was represented by Dr Bath Ezeugwu gave the indication on Thursday when members of EMMOFA undertook a rally/solidarity visit to the government house.
“We cannot toy with a formidable group such as EMMOFA and that’s why the Governor has personally asked me to represent him here and send my goodwill to the leadership and entire members of EMMOFA”
Speaking further he thanked EMMOFA for championing the candidature of Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and stated that EMMOFA wil be integrated into the full campaign when it kicks off
“We will ensure that you are carried along in the scheme of affairs in the forth coming elections and campaign. You have come here in your hundreds from various wards and local governments of the state, this attest to the fact that your organisation is in touch with the grassroot. It convinces us that we are in pool position to sweep all the votes in the forth coming general election”.
Earlier in his speech, the convener and national coordinator of EMMOFA Comr. Okey Ugwu who was represented by the Enugu State Coordinator of EMMOFA, John Onuaguluchi said the group was committed to ensuring that the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Ugwuanyi and all other PDP candidates emerge victorious come 2019.
“We are here to show our solidarity and support to our PDP presidential flag bearer Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who has raised the bar of leadership in Enugu state. Our dear governor has done well in his first term and definitely deserves a second term”
Speaking further, he said that as a grassroots based support group, the group has thousands of registered members on its database and will make sure that this will ensure easy victory for PDP in 2019.
“We are convinced that our numerical strength will be an asset to you and other aspirants under our great party PDP. We will not relent until PDP emerges victorious in the 2019 general election”.
Hundreds of EMMOFA members from the various wards and local government areas of Enugu state took part in the solidarity match which took the members from the Hotel Presidential to the Government House.
